Turning a Development into a Destination

What we did

We performed the role of Event and Activation Delivery Manager for LendLease at INTERNATIONAL QUARTER LONDON (now renamed Stratford Cross), curating the public realm as the site transformed from a construction site into a ‘live’ fully occupied destination.

Outcome

• The installation of Calico - a pop up bar/cafe/community space • Creation of a multi-coloured MUGA community space

• IQL Total and Weekends - Series of 60 wellbeing activities and events targeting employees and the local community

• Your Stratford Stage and IQL Live – 43 cultural performance showcases across 8 days in May 2022 with local partners, estimated 1,500 people attended

• Four-year public realm Christmas programme – large-scale baubles and tree wraps decorations, lighting 12 feature trees – from 2019 to 2022 • Programme of events in support of the London Design Festival piece, The IQL Hothouse, during September 2020

• Three pop-up summer screens, including IQL Summer Screen 2021 – a 10 week temporary cinema showing 67 films and a host of sporting events; 11,000+ tickets booked; Users of community platform doubled; 221% increase in new users to the IQL website during the 10 weeks and over 1.6 million targeted impressions; 1.6 million plus

• Your Stratford Summer 2022 – a summer programme to celebrate 10 years of London 2022, designed and delivered by Evergreen in 3 months. 45 music and dance performances, 7-week pop up cinema, permanent branded table tennis tables installed in public realm, 30 sporting events. Significant increase Calico in footfall and dwell time.
